An introduction to the Banach rapid decay property

Abstract:

We will talk about the Banach rapid decay property for groups introduced by B. Liao and G. Yu. In particular, we want to discuss its applications to the K-theory and the idempotent problem of group Banach algebras. Some results in this talk are based on a joint work with Yifan Liu.
